See what a grace was seated on his brow;
Hyperion’s curls, the front of Jove himself,
An eye like Mars, to threaten and command,
A station like the herald Mercury
New-lighted on a heaven-kissing hill;
A combination and a form indeed,
Where every god did seem to seat his seal
To give the world assurance of a man.
(from Hamlet)
My tribute to Christopher Plummer’s fifty-year-long movie career (his first films, Wind Across the Everglades and Stage Struck, were both released in 1958).
A POLEMICAL NOTE. WHAT IS THE ACADEMY WAITING FOR BEFORE IT GIVES HIM HIS LONG DESERVED OSCAR??? CHRISTOPHER PLUMMER SHOULD HAVE BEGUN GETTING ACADEMY OSCARS SINCE 1964, WHEN HE PERFORMED WONDERFULLY IN “THE FALL OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE”!
